Vegan Scratch Biscuits
Yield = 8 biscuits
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 Tbsp vegan butter
- 1/2 - 3/4 cups water
- Optional:
- 1 Tbsp garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp dried or fresh rosemary
Directions
- Preheat oven to 430 degrees F
- Add flour, baking powder, salt and optional spices to a large mixing bowl
- Melt butter in the microwave or over stove top
- Add butter and 1/2 c water to mixing bowlÂ
- Using hand or standing mixer mix until ingredients are combine

If consistency is dry and crumbly, add in more water only up to 3/4 c total of water
Note: the more water and looser the consistency of the dough, the flatter the biscuit - Let biscuit dough sit for 10 minutes near oven as it warms upÂ
- Hand shape 8 biscuits and put onto a baking sheet
- Bake for 12 - 15 minutes or until desired golden brown level
